Have you ever wondered why our government says the recession is over while 17 million American workers are jobless, the unemployment rate is closer to 20% than 10% when you count people who are underemployed or who have simply given up looking? That leaders rejoice when ‘only’ 36,000 people lose their jobs in a month?

Do you feel the same as I do that there is no recovery until people are working?

A little research reveals the answers to why Banks, Goldman Sachs, Insurance companies, Big Pharma, Big Oil, G.E., and other big business have recovered and are profitable once again. Big government is good for big business, and big business is good for big government. Corporate welfare is bought by lobbyists and campaign contributions, paid for by you.

Do you remember the candidate of hope and change railing against big oil, insurance companies, and lobbyists as having a seat at the table, and how he was going to make sure the people had a seat at the table? To cite all the examples that the reverse is true since Obama took office would require a book. The one I recommend is “Obamanomics” by Timothy P. Carney.

A few examples in the did you know category; Insurance companies, Hospital Associations, and Big Pharma lobbyists wrote the health care bill? Big Oil and Big Coal lobbyists helped write Cap and Trade legislation? G.E. not only helped write environmental law favoring their products, their CEO sits on the president’s economic roundtable? Howard Stern president of SEIU is the most frequent visitor at the White House, and sent lobbyists to write the Stimulus bill, and the Card Check legislation?

Who are the losers in this process? Who is suffering the most? Who are the ones footing the bill? Workers, entrepreneurs, small business owners, and taxpayers. All suffer while the fat cats of industry reap billions. Not that Obama necessarily cares about these fat cats, they are merely tools for his ultimate goal; big government. More precisely, an authoritarian centralized government that our founders warned against.

Let’s look at Obama’s major agenda items. Health care. The proposed health care bill is a takeover of the health care industry. One hundred eighteen bureaucracies, boards, and commissions will dictate the rules to doctors, hospitals, health insurance companies determining what health care you will receive. Let alone the (unconstitutional) mandate that all Americans buy health insurance, under penalty of law through fines, and jail enforced by the IRS. Federal control over health care will give government absolute power over every American’s life and liberty. 

The lie that 30 million more can be insured, and save money defies common sense. But that’s their sales pitch. If a small business owner provided a bank a prospectus that included ten years income against six years expenses, they would be arrested for a fraudulent application. Not the progressives in government.

Health Care has nothing to do with Health Care. It is all about big government and big business. Ninety percent of Americans have health insurance, of which eighty-five percent are content with their insurance. In other words ObamaCare is based upon a non-existent crisis. ObamaCare will not reduce costs, it will increase costs and big business profits.

Cap and Trade. Why would fossil fuel industries write cap and trade? The same reason big pharma, and insurance lobbyists wrote the health care bill. Big profits paid for by everyone but them. They’re just following the law don’t you know, Mr. and Mrs. taxpayer, when the costs are passed along to you.

What results from authoritarian central control? You will be told what kind of car (Government Motors) you can drive, how warm or cool you can keep your home (controlled from your utility HQ), what kind of (G.E.) light bulb you can use, as examples. In other words the government will control your mobility, your everyday energy choices, your freedom.

Cap and Trade is being sold as necessary to save the planet. The recent exposure of e-mails from East Anglia, the gold standard for scientific data supporting Climate Change, by scientists destroying data, and manipulating data does not support the Al Gore get rich quick scheme. The Hockey Stick now is shown only to be the hammer to beat people senseless until they believed in the theory.

Worse yet Drudge reported this week that a U.S.A. Today reporter was told by NASA representatives in 2007 that NASA data was inferior to East Anglia data. Swell, our data is inferior to manipulated, fraudulent data. Do you suppose that means NASA’s data doesn’t support the theory of Climate Change when their director was a supporter?

Why did the reporters not disclose that NASA report? Because the progressive owned media is in on the ruse. G.E. owned NBC, CNBC, and MSNBC all have billions of reasons to promote the theory. The others? To advance the progressive agenda.

Health Care has nothing to do with health care, cap and trade has nothing to do with saving the planet. Both are contrived ‘crisis’, used by Big Business to profit, and for progressives like Obama to realize their dream of an authoritarian centralized federal government.

The federal government has grown by historic proportions, even before these two bills adds thousands more bureaucrats. Over 2.1 million federal employees, and SEIU Union members earning one and a half times private sector workers. Paid for by you.

This probably explains why workers, small businesses, entrepreneurs, and taxpayers struggle. They didn’t have anyone representing them at the table for TARP, Stimulus, Omnibus, Budget, Health Care Reform, or Cap and Trade. Nothing was included for them. Absolutely nothing.

Keeping people in crisis permits a government takeover. Obama and the progressives running the White House, Congress, and the Bureaucracies view individual liberty as something that must be sacrificed for the the common good. The reason your liberty is being sacrificed is because the progressives believe government is the solution to all problems, and you the people just don’t know what’s good for you.

Let’s face it folks, the people are too stupid to make decisions about how to live on their own. That people can’t be trusted in a lawful, moral ordered society with all that freedom. People need the egghead elites from Harvard and Yale making decisions for them. Do you suppose they just might be the same people that own those big businesses?

How have we gotten so far away from our founding principles of limited federal government, unalienable rights, and individual liberty? Why would the people allow a radical president and congress to steal their liberty from them through a corrupt process and by unlawful means against the people’s will? There is an ideological divide in America as a result.

Over eighty years ago, Calvin Coolidge said this:

“It is often asserted that the world has made a great deal of progress since 1776, that we have had new thoughts and new experiences which have given us a great advance over the people of that day, and that we may therefore very well discard their conclusions for something more modern. But that reasoning can not be applied to this great charter. If all men are created equal, that is final. If they are endowed with unalienable rights, that is final. If governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed, that is final. No advance, no progress can be made beyond these propositions. If anyone wishes to deny their truth or their soundness, the only direction in which he can proceed historically is not forward but backward toward the time when there was no equality, no rights of the individual, no rule of the people. Those who wish to proceed in that direction can not lay claim to progress.”

To conclude today’s musings, from The Declaration of Independence;

We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness.

Time to throw off this government destructive of our rights.  If this health care bill is passed, I will refuse to obey it. It is unlawful. It violates unalienable rights. Work to repeal it. Vote every congressman and senator out of office that votes to steal your liberty. It is your right to do so. It is your duty to do so. Any other action means the American idea is dead.

What is Obama doing? Now we know what Obama meant when he stated; “We are only five days away from fundamentally changing America.”

The suit is empty no more, the Obama plan(s) revealed. This ‘change’ will stop if the people have a say.
